Sight is a gift. We must appreciate the way LIGHT transforms what we see and how we see it. The image our brain produces from the collection of data gathered by our eyes creates a FEELING. A palpable emotion that can be affixed to a person, a place, a time, a memory, an idea…
What I do is control the light. What you do is create the feeling.
I try not to limit what I photograph, but I particularly enjoy exploring abandoned and forgotten places and bringing life back into their images. I am always capturing the world around me, highlighting the journeys and experiences that make up my life. Because of that, I have quite a large (and constantly growing) collection of images. In order to try to share that, I created this site, and have set it up in such a way as to replicate a blog format, where I can share my work as an ongoing production. I will also try to maintain keywords and categories to aid in searching of subjects you may find interesting.
Yes, my work still is and always will be for sale, but I am going away from an impersonal online-order platform to a more individualized one-on-one production. I will share images, as well as pieces I was inspired to create from those images. It should be fun and allow for more creativity from me, in-turn I can generate better work. I welcome your email requests for anything you see of interest, that you would like to purchase; or if you have an idea of something you would like me to create.
I will also be offering my services for commercial work. In the past, this has been very limited, as that was not the direction I intended to pursue. Over time and through gained experience, I have opened up to the idea as opportunity, vs. my previous “shoot first, sell later” mentality. I will have a link to that contact page .. here (soon).
